Breaking Boundaries Scholarship Fund

Iowas Gay Wedding Planner is proud to support this new scolarship fund which aims to provide financial support for high school students that work to strengthen our communities and dispel fears based on gender, race, orientation, and identification. We would also like to thank and congratulate the 2010 winner, Zach Miller for his efforts and support.

Zach is a typical kid. He does well in school, played on the football team, and is on the wrestling team. But, halfway through high school, Zach’s father came out, throwing his home life in turmoil. Rather than succumbing to the overwhelming strain, Zach strengthened his relationship with his family and continued to excel. His personal experience even inspired him to help start a Gay-Straight Alliance club in his school and to spend last summer volunteering for One Iowa.
